.nyc is proud to announce the return of Best of Boroughs. Top websites across New York City’s five boroughs are eligible to enter the citywide contest. Restaurateurs, fashionistas, financial gurus, artists, anyone and everyone that elevates New York’s own community and digital ecosystem to new heights – we want to hear from you. The contest is your chance to showcase all the hard work that went into your .nyc website and share the story behind their brand. New York is filled with stories. We want to hear yours. Read on for more information on prizes and how to enter.

The Contest

Best of Boroughs brings together top .nyc websites from across New York’s five unique boroughs. Local businesses, organizations and communities with a working .nyc website prior to September 2, 2019, are eligible to enter. We want to hear the story behind your brand’s history in New York and what value and services your business brings to your local community. Your website will be judged on its quality of content, visual appeal, layout, structure, formatting, functionality and navigation. Check out our previous winners below to get a better feel for the competition.

Judging will be performed by NYC officials from each borough—Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island—in addition to a public forum voting across the whole city. Your business will be showcased in front of 8.6 million New Yorkers during the voting period from September 19 through September 24, 2019 in one inspiring showcase of why Silicon Alley is a central hub of the tech world. 

 

Prizes

There will be one winner selected from each borough to win:

  • A $5,000 cash prize
  • Free media and publicity for your business and website
  • A feature in a .nyc marketing campaign 
  • And an official Best of the Boroughs award to show off

Winners will be announced at a live event in New York City on October 23, 2019.

Interested .nyc owners will submit their individual stories on what makes their business or entity the best of their borough through the online submission portal. Contestants may begin submitting their business’ or entity’s website starting September 3, 2019, here.
