"A little while ago the city opened registration for its new .nyc domain. Now, 50 hand-picked names have been selected to jump-start the domain name and represent NYC and the city’s values. Called the “.nyc Founders” program, the 50 names are businesses, individuals, causes, and other aspects of the city which “represent the ethos” of New York City. The chosen come from all across the city’s five boroughs and represent a colorful cross-section of the city."
