What inspired you to create this website or entity?
A friend once told me that podcasting is like the Wild West, and that you have to stake your claim. When I moved to NYC last year from the Midwest to pursue a podcasting career, I knew I had to do something to make myself stand out. That's why I made podcaster.nyc my digital home. I use this website to showcase my work, promote the shows I edit, and book consultations for anyone interested in starting their own podcast.
How does your website or entity represent or contribute to the local community or borough which you represent?
I use this website to be a helpful contact and resource in Brooklyn and beyond. In my free time, I teach a free class on audio editing at the Brooklyn Public Library. I direct students to contact me via podcaster.nyc if they ever need further help with audio editing or creating a podcast in the future. As a freelance podcast producer, this is not only my livelihood, but my passion. I use podcaster.nyc to not only book work, but to be a friendly resource for Brooklynites who want to learn or are learning how to edit audio and create podcasts.
