The Liz Christy Community Garden was the very first community garden in New York City, founded in 1973. The Liz Christy Garden Community Garden belongs to everyone. Whether you visit once a week or once a year, the garden will be richer for your participation. There are lots of ways you can help the garden flourish: Encourage friends and family to visit; roll up your sleeves and join them as a Volunteer; and if you own a business in the neighborhood, consider making a donation. Most of all, remember to stop by often and refresh your spirits!
